We accepted the Police Report as the truth, unfortunately it was not. Mr Andrew Mitchell we're truly sorry

On September 24th 2012 the Politico Daily published the Met Police account of events from the the night of the "plebgate" row. Our source was from the Police and via the Daily Telegraph. It was an incident which allegedly involved the then Government Chief Whip, Mr Andrew Mitchell. An account which suggested Mr Andrew Mitchell abused the Police. After seeing evidence uncovered by Channel 4 we now know this account to be totally false and we take this opportunity to apologise to the Right Honourable Mr Andrew Mitchell MP, we are truly sorry.
