Candidates selected for Wythenshawe & Sale East by-election

Following the death of Paul Goggins the writ was moved for the Wythenshawe and Sale East by-election which will take place on Thursday 13th February 2014. Currently their are six candidates including from Labour the Tories the Liberal Democrats, UKIP have already announced their candidates:

Bickley John - United Kingdom Independence Party
Chaplington-Smythe Captain - Monster Raving Loony Party
Critchlow Daniel - Conservative Party
Di Mauro Mary - Liberal Democrat Party
Kane Mike - Labour Party
O'Sullivan Eddy - British National Party

The Green party association met last Thursday to debate the selection. The party have indicated that standing a candidate depends on whether they can raise sufficient funds: "an absolute minimum requirement is that the campaign raises £1,500 to enable them to pay for a freepost leaflet and to cover the deposit." There is also no word on whether the National Health Action party, the English Democrats or the Liberal party will be contest the by-election.
