Plaid Cymru: Use your vote for first class devolution

Leanne Wood has told young voters to look for the best deal for Wales when they go to the polls on 7th May. The Party of Wales leader Leanne Wood has urged first time voters to use their first vote to ensure first class devolution for Wales.

Leanne Wood said that only her party is willing to fight for the best possible deal for Wales. She said that if Wales received the same funding arrangement as Scotland that would mean an extra £400 of funding for every man, woman and child in Wales per year.

The Party of Wales leader Leanne Wood said: "The likelihood of a hung parliament means that every vote counts in this election, and it’s more important than ever for first time voters to use their votes. A vote for Plaid Cymru is a vote for better funding for Wales, a vote to protect our public services, and a vote for ambition and prosperity."

Ms Wood continued: "If Wales secured the same funding as Scotland this would mean an extra £400 per person. The Westminster parties gave Scotland a vow to secure its financial position; it’s time Wales was given a vow that delivered equality for our people."

"Wales is not a second class nation and there is no reason why we should be treated as such. By electing a strong team of Plaid Cymru MPs in Westminster we can fight for first class devolution for Wales." Leanne Wood added.
